Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationally-recognized organization that prioritizes connections between adult 'Bigs' and school-age 'Littles' to fulfill their potential and give them life skills to lead and impact their communities. Lesser-known is their long-term program for high school Bigs to mentor elementary school Littles. Read up, and make sure you have the skills and time for this commitment!

This gig requires good mentoring skills, a fairly strong academic background, and the ability to work with kids. If that sounds like you, perfect!
The program runs from 4-5pm at the Boys and Girls Club in Concord, NC once a week (you get to pick the day that works best)
Each session includes 30 minutes of homework/educational help and 30 minutes of a fun bonding activity or quality time with your Little.
The program runs for the entire school year, so it's a serious commitment.
The application is here, and there's a 30 minute interview to see if you'll be a fit.
