Brookdale

Brookdale is a leading senior living center in our area. While they don't have an existing program for teen volunteers, they do accept them on a case-by-case basis similar to the Humane Society. The focus is on entertaining and bringing joy to the residents, not helping out the staff via dining room assistance/cleaning/concierge services. 

Key Things to Know:

• Minimum age is 16

• You must pass a fill out some simple paperwork, including a tuberculosis test and background check, and attend an orientation. 

• Activities include arranging flowers, keeping residents company, helping set up and run activities, and assisting with fundraising. 

• Again, it's on a case-by-case basis, particularly good for small groups, but individuals can still be placed. 

• There's not a volunteer application online, so use the info below to call your local facility.
