Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity in Cabarrus County has one main opportunity for individual youth volunteers: their ReStore. Their mission: "Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope." This one is a long-term gig that takes a bit of prep, so you'll find everything you need below. 

Key Things to Know

• Habitat Cabarrus is very flexible when it comes to shifts students can work. They allow volunteers to work alongside them during the ReStore business hours Tuesdays through Saturdays.

• Training is on-site, however, you can find a required safety video here. 

• Habitat Cabarrus is actively seeking individuals to volunteer continuously, but they also accept volunteers that can only help sporadically on their schedule.

• Stamina to work in heat/cold/rain and ability to lift 100lbs with assistance, 50 lbs alone. 

• Able to work independently, interact with customers, and understand what makes a good donation. 

• Understand Habitat's philosophy and mission.

• Habitat Cabarrus will teach you all that you need to know.
